The Letters, Lives and Liberty exhibition is situated in a national shrine. Dublin’s General Post Office was the insurgent headquarters during the 1916 Rising against British rule. Three themes are covered: the development of postal services in Ireland over the centuries, philately and stamp design, and the dramatic events in the building during the Rising. It is the first postal museum in Ireland.
